Digital Dioramas and Printmaking

Come and explore digital dioramas and print-making - two simple, effective ways for students to develop a sequence of rich images that will naturally inspire many genres of writing. Participants will have the opportunity to create characters and move them through a series of digital dioramas, and to explore various printmaking techniques. You will need a digital camera for this workshop. Cathy Woods is a Manitoba artist and educator. She has a Fine Arts Honours degree from the University of Manitoba where she specialized in ceramics, creating large scale, high relief works that explore the decay of past industry and the potential of nature to renew itself. She has been an elementary Visual Art Specialist for over ten years, during which time she has presented many workshops to teachers. Workshop limited to 20 participants. 9:00-3:30 pm. This workshop was made possible through a grant from Manitoba Education.
