About the event

Anyone can make a zine!  Learn all about zines and DIY publishing with local artist Natalie Mark. Regardless of skill level or access to materials or design programs, you can start with paper, drawing utensils, and an idea! Find out what a zine is and use the materials provided to start creating your own.

Natalie Mark 麥月明 is a Queer Chinese-Canadian illustrator and cartoonist. Their work is somewhere between a reflection of life and small curiosities. Natalie has created installation work for Pride Toronto’s 2017 Street Fair and video work for Reel Asian International Film Festival, as well as community art projects for Winnipeg’s Chinatown. They were awarded the Cupcake mentorship with CAKE (Chicago) where they will be debuting their latest comic.

Presented in partnership with Winnipeg Public Library.
