Beadweaving Basics with Vi Houssin

Vi Houssin is a beadwork artist of Michif and white settler heritage living in Winnipeg (Treaty 1, Homeland of the Métis). 

In this workshop, Vi will teach four basic beadweaving techniques - ladder stitch, flat herringbone stitch, brick stitch, and fringe - to create beaded earrings, pendants, and more. For this workshop you will receive a selection of beads, thread, a beading needle, and a felt beading mat. All materials used in this workshop are recycled and were collected at ArtsJunktion's depot. As well as materials, your ticket includes a complimentary beverage (Alcoholic or non-alcoholic).
