Collage with Takashi Iwasaki

Painting a straight line with a brush isn’t an easy task, but cutting paper with a straight edge and pasting it onto a surface instantly creates a nice straight line. Creating patterns and textures can be difficult but finding patterns and textures in magazines and wallpapers can be an exciting experience. By the end of this three hour workshop you will be a master of magazine flicking and you will have created a unique piece of art. 

Takashi Iwasaki was born in Japan, but now calls Winnipeg his home. Most of his recent works are either a visual recording of his daily life or a visualization of his imaginary worlds.  They represent and reflect his state of mind. He works in many mediums- embroidery, paintings, collages, and sculptures
